Mk 1 Cortina ( black and yellow )

This Mk1 Cortina was stripped of all its interior and exterior trim.The body was then total prepared including top plates on front suspension begin replaced. Time was spent to make sure that the bonnet gap line was spot on as with the boot. After all minor repairs the body was given a full coverage of primer. The final colour of Jet Black Acrylic was allpied with the now yellow area omitted this was so that when the yellow was applied the final finish could be flattened and polished as one therby giving a flat finish across the black to yellow and back to the black. The whole job was the mirror polished as can be seen in the bootlid picture taken at dusk with a perfect reflection of the clouds that evening, nice !
